Ben Blackwood

Ben is a graduate of the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, with a major in Horticulture and Landscape Design and a minor in Forestry. Currently Ben sits on the Board of Directors of the Friends of UT Gardens, is the General Manager of Popes, and plays a vital role in the overall growth of Popes Garden Center. Ben’s expertise and experience has helped landscapers, businesses and gardeners develop and maintain their gardens and landscapes. His expert advice is often featured in Tennessee Gardener, and is always available to Popes’ shoppers. |
 Sher Kelly |
Sher is a Colorado-native, having lived throughout the Southwest and mid-America. She is proud to now call the Southeast her home. In her own words, she has been “given the privilege” to serve the family business at Popes Garden Center since 1983. From inventory control, growing, management, landscape design and sales, she has adjusted her teaching to benefit her associates, gardeners and children at every level.Sher’s firm belief that at Popes “it’s all about the customer” has earned her great respect and says it is her reason to look forward to the next twenty years! |
 Kenn Everett |
Kenn is a former student of Ornamental Horticulture and Landscape Design at the University of Tennessee. He has extensive experience in garden maintenance and design both here in Tennessee as well as on the west coast.Kenn has been with Popes Garden Center for over twelve years. His loyalty and hard work have allowed for him to serve and maintain excellent customer and staff relations. His gifts of creativity and originality bring the garden center to life. |
 Kimber Brantley |
As a San Diego native, Kimber has spent most of her life playing in water! Also having lived in Wisconsin, she has a full understanding of climate change, and its effects on ponds, aquatic plants and fish life. Her experience with filtration, pumps and water treatments is top-notch.Kimber always goes above and beyond for her customers, and as she says “There is no such thing as a stupid question”. Now being at Popes Garden Center she looks forward to serving you and being a part of the Popes family for many years to come! |
